The Jewelry

Blanche began designing unusual pieces in gold, incorporating precious and untraditional stones. Her influence stems from her appreciation for rare Asian Netsukes, pre-Colombian art, and Egyptian and African periods. Some of her earlier pieces were shown with fashion designer collections that include Geoffrey Bean and Yoko Watanabe. She has exhibited her objets de art in numerous galleries and shows. Blanche’s current design obsession is dedicated to unique world-influenced necklace designs.

The Material

Blanche sources materials from around the global market. She has a prized collection of ancient Ivory Netsukes – objects that date centuries and were created as a toggle of sorts, often working as a button or vehicle for closure in traditional Asian clothing. Blanche also incorporates rare antique gems, agates and crystals, amulets, scarce handmade clasps and other unique materials. She’s known to turn a snuff bottle into a jewel and tribal passport mask into a necklace.

About the Designer

Throughout her career, Blanche has been involved in the creative arts. Born and raised in New York City, Blanche always knew she’d be an artist. She began to hone her craft as a teenager at the coveted High School of Music and Art, which led her to deepen her knowledge at the School of Visual Arts, where she earned a BFA with a focus on Advertising and Graphic Design.
